Kapalua Gold™ Organic & Kapalua Emerald™ Organic Pineapple

For 100 years, Maui Pineapple Company, Ltd. established a name for growing flavorful pineapples and introduced the original Maui Gold® variety to the market in 2005. Kapalua Farms introduced Maui Gold® Organic pineapples, which were first sold in 2007 after ten years of cultivating certified organic pineapples. Both Kapalua Farms and Maui Pineapple Company are divisions of Maui Land & Pineapple Company, Inc., a landholding and operating corporation on the island of Maui.

Kapalua Gold organic pineapple is perfectly balanced in sugar and acidity.  Aiming beyond organic in its cultivation, this pineapple is grown not only without use of synthetic pesticides, fertilizers or herbicides but we amend our soil with compost made from Kapalua Resort green waste, greatly reducing the energy intensity of fertilizing. 

Kapalua Emerald organic is the newest pineapple from Kapalua Farms. It’s the sweetest, lowest acid fruit yet and still pesticide-free. You’ll find the shell may be green, but inside it’s sweet, juicy and ready-to-eat.  

Kapalua Natural transition pineapples are cultivated with the same organic practices as the certified pineapples but are just shy of the organic management time requirement as outlined by the USDA. You can eat these with a clean conscience!
